a balm to city living
Spring is still six weeks away but at a park nearby, the magnolias, azaleas and daffodils are already in bloom. They compete for attention with banks of hellebores and plentiful camellias; winter flowers which remind me that even in the ice and cold, beautiful things can still grow. For me, gardens and the flowers that grow in them are a respite. They are a balm to city living.
